Great to see older boats that are well maintained. Biggest hassle on my 2001 is gradually resealing all of the deck hardware to prevent water damage to the interior. Hatch(es), rail stanchions, windshield frame, cleats, snaps, sun pad rails, port lights etc.. When I was shopping for my 310 2...
Go Birds! Yes, I'm a lifelong Eagles fan. Jason Kelce is a solid individual. He gave a very heartfelt speech at the Philadelphia Museum of art after they won their first super bowl. He and his brother have great parents that helped them become who they are today.
Thanks very much. That’s the amp I’m planning to get - my description may not have been clear. If I need the sub I’ll add a 1 channel monoblock amp for another $650 and the Series 3i 12” subwoofer for $770. That’s a big jump that I won’t take unless I’m not satisfied with the Series 3i 8.8”...
Skybolt, Thanks for what you shared on the Fusion Apollo system and DSP technology. I was initially thinking of going with the Fusion Apollo MS-RA770, a JL Audio M800/8V2 8-channel 800 W amp and JL 4 of the M6-650X speakers (2 in the cabin, 2 on either side of the helm) and 2 of the M6-770X...
Hurricane Idalia damage at marina in Dunedin, FL. Storm was a mild tropical storm for us so the issue here is an aging dock that couldn't survive 60-70 winds and 3 ft. storm surge. Glad I didn't have boat here.
What a deal!!! Be sure to run it long enough to warm up each time you take the boat out, follow the maintenance schedule and it will last forever. The quiet 1800 rpm operation makes it difficult to know if its running when the main engines are idling (and mine has no sound shield). I'm now a...
Bob, Have you fished any cables from the engine space up to the helm? If so, how did you do it? I spent 2 hours today with a steel electrician's fish tape and a 10' piece Romex cable trying to get from the gunwale area behind the plastic cup holder/storage panel next to the helm seat and down...
Thanks for posting this. Discovered this seat has been discontinued and replaced by Bemis Richfield model #521EC 006. Available at Home Depot for $24.98 (inflation!).
Thanks very much. My starboard sender is shot so it's time to replace both of them. Originally wanted to stay with all analog gauges for the "factory original" look but realized having accurate gauges for critical things like fuel, engine temp. and engine oil pressure is much more important...
Bob, Just to confirm, you're using the Maretron TLM150's on your tanks - correct? They talk about a 2" "sensor dead-band" at the top of the tank. Do you have any issues reading the last 10-20 gallons when filling the tanks? I decided I really don't want to cut holes in my deck so the magnetic...
