I have a 1978 srv 195 (closed bow). When the fuel tank is down about 1/4 or more from full, the engine will bog at higher rpms. There is also an occasional hissing sound like air expelling from the fuel tank. It appears there is a vacuum created in the tank starving the engine for fuel, so great at one time it collapsed the rubber filler hose and wouldn't take any fuel. The vent appears to be working but not 100% certain. Any suggestions to remedy this problem? Fuel filter is new. Thanks.
