Honestly I have no idea, not sure if it was like that when I bought it and I just didn't notice it. Last saturday we did go out when it was pretty rough out but I'm not sure that could of caused it.
With the windshield off we discovered that the next screw hole was also damaged. likely because that became a pivot point when the first screw pulled out. All holes are fixed with new gel coat, windshield was resealed against the boat when it went back in. She's back to like new :)
