Curious if you are willing to share the cost of the new setup. I replaced my cockpit cover last year and went with a different color than my bimini. Have never had the bimini on the boat since I purchased it, but would be nice to have them matching if I ever decide to put it on.

Brain fart......never thought about the smoke from Canada. I'm directly across from Canada, can see them from my slip. Guess I'll start with some cleaner wax or spray and something else to reseal afterwards. Canvas sounds like it will need a bath as well. Thanks for the suggestions!

Oh I'll take your word for it!! The hatch is quite heavy and I've never had to replace them so if it's 120......then 120 it is lol. Not interested in spending the night in the bilge either! Really appreciate the responses/information.

From a little bit of searching here it appears that 40 to 50 pounds of force is necessary for the engine hatch on my boat. But Lazy you're saying 120 lbs is the correct strut to purchase? Few other posts stated not to go over 50 due to hatch possibly popping open in rough water. I'm not...

Have a 10" sub down near the floor. Upgrading to a 12" in the next few days. 10 fits with more than enough room, 12 will also fit, just have to enlarge existing hole.
