Wow, using footage from an Italian Hospital to cover overcrowding is a NY Hospital is really a huge life changing moment that changes the course of our lives. What is the difference of using film from a hospital in Italy full of sick people or using film from an American Hospital. Do think the overcrowding in NY hospital is fake news? Would you rather see a news crew go to an overcrowded hospital in NY to film it and risk spreading it more. The footage was used to sensualize the story because people are not taking this seriously. The fake news is only coming from one place located in Washington DC.

That's reaching. But you are correct, that picture was used to sensationalize the story, but not for the reasons you cited.

The fake news is: We have plenty of test kits available. Anyone who wants a test can get one. This Virus is just like getting a cold. Lots of beautiful ventilators available. Lots of PPE available. This virus is just a hoax, ect.

I agree with the fake news thing. Real problem. Not sure how to address it.
I don’t agree with using footage from an Italian hospital and presenting as a NY hospital. That action lacks integrity and is no different that when they intentionally blew up the Chevy truck for a news story on how dangerous the design was. Old timers will remember that debacle. (I think it was 20/20 back in the 80’s). Those actions debase the entire confidence of our news.
If they want to use the Italian hospital footage, ok. Just say, “This is from an Italian hospital which is very much like what is happening in NY.”
News reports can influence policy decisions at a state/local level. Mayors, Councilmen, Sheriffs, City Managers all make policy decisions but do not have access to full classification briefings, like the President. Locals depend on open source news. When that news is unreliable, it can change our lives.
So, yes. It did matter.
It's like them going to the trailer park after a hurricane. They are always looking for the worst possible outcome to cause alarm. If they really took a look at the hospital situation, sure NY city area sux right now. But how is rest of New York, California, Nebraska. Give me a true picture.

I wonder if congress needs to be taxed on their net worth increase from day 1 in congress and be allowed a standard net worth increase. Or some way to highly penalizing people that get elected and then somehow have huge net worths all of the sudden. While not starting/running a legitimate company. They are in a unique position and largely benefit from the position. If one starts the next Amazon. That should be excluded.
