I don't use it where salt water will come in contact - but with spark plugs that shouldn't be a problem.

Not exactly sure why that shade pictures got posted on my reply to you. I was starting a post on a different computer.
Regardless, we have been busy fabricating the sunshade extension for the 340SDA. The attached pictures show where we stand with prototype version 1. We have a little tweaking to do but we are close on it is quite usable as is.
It is a direct zipper attachment to the factory sunshade. My pictures below show it attached to a brand new GLBT sunshade that we got in. The support poles a stainless steel and are collapsible and the tension pulls are paracord and will be trimmed down (we are just experimenting with a neat finish to the tied off knot).
The pictures shown utilizes the factory rod holders but we also anticipate the need for adding holders. In that case there are two options - a 30 degree holder at the factory position or a 15 degree holder are the aft corner.
The shade goes up and down in just a couple of minutes and the whole thing will collapse down to a rolled bundle just over 4 feet long for easy stowage. When we first used it we noticed an immediate drop in the temperature in the cockpit area.
Once the we have the cover tweaked we plan on working on screens and/or solid panels for the sides.

Do you envision being able to use underway or, will it need to be stowed before heading out? This may have been covered before in earlier threads so, sorry for not searching.

Not sure about what speeds we would recommend to use at. The design was for a quick shade setup when needed and not a more permanent attachment. I will be running the boat with it up to gauge how well it responds (or doesn't).

Guys no need to put anti sieze on NGK plugs as the threads already have a coating on them.

in the bilge they are on either side of the pump. theres a bunch of videos of people replacing these on youtube. im not sure how many we have in our system. could be up to 4 i believethanks Kevin...by the way, after all the mechanical issues I started installing the canvas I got from you. nothing on the boat works but at least it looks greatI'm thinking I may need a new mooring cover from you soon as well...now that I"ve replaced the bimini you really notice how faded the mooring cover is
I've got an appointment for the generator and seacock in two weeks then figure a week or so there to order parts and repair.
in the mean time I"ll get on the others my self. where is the duck valve for the toilet? is it under the bowl or in the bilge somewhere?

I ran out of storage space on the boat. I have a 2007 340. I wanted to see if anyone used the space under the couch or behind the couch pbackrest. I know the 350 utilized this space and put hatches in there. I didn't get any pictures behind the couch backrest but it is all empty.

I don't believe there is that much space under the couch. I think most of it is occupied by the slant of the hull. However, I believe there is a ton of space behind the couch back. Unfortunately because it is an arc hinging the back is difficult. I still want to explore more back there.

the fitting under my sink in the galley broke today. what a pain. wondering if anyone has replaced that fitting. its plastic and threads onto the bottom of sink, 90 degree elbow and gets clamped to the drain hose. thanks

It's pretty much a standard fitting. I replaced mine on my 260DA. Just need to get the proper size basket for the hole. Pack it with plumbers putty and tighen it up and clamp the hose on. Ambassador manufactures many of these drains.
