$4000 for 2 new oil compressors?

Warning to reduce throttle on either or both drives at 3800-4000RPM. Mechanic suggests new oil compressors. Does this sound appropriate and price reasonable? 2006 only a couple hundred hours.

no that would be a rip...
Lot more factors here to diagnose before you could even put up a suggestion. Start with what are we working with here? Is there an oil pressure issue? How was it checked? Why would both engines need an oil pump?
