Keep Track of Rising Prices

In Canada we have an ever increasing carbon tax. It is set to increase by a factor of 5 by 2030. The tax is now equal to the price of natural gas that heats our home. The tax on car gas is now 7.5cents a liter. On April 1 2021 it goes to 10 cents. This will be 38 cent per US gallon. On one river last summer we paid $1.60 a liter this is $6 a gallon.

IIRC Pennsylvania gas tax is about .60-.70/gallon. One of the highest in the country. Also just heard this morning that the PA turnpike has the highest tolls in the world and is more than double the 2nd highest. Good 'ole PA. Tax us to death and get nothing in return.

..and layoff your energy producers in that state as well. They can all code or get those new green energy jobs.

Pa has the second highest highway gas taxes next to Calif.

They’ll get everyone in an EV eventually.
Yup and when they shut down all the oil platforms and refineries the handful that remain to support the diesel powered electrical grid, The price per barrel will be around $1000 and everyone’s electric bill at home And charging stations included “they” will make more money on that than they are making on fossil fuels that we’re using now

I know there are a few Michiganders that are not that enthused with Governor Whitmer.....this action, to close the Line 5 pipeline will definitely have an impact on prices:
“This is no small pipeline. It supplies products needed for about 45 per cent of Ontario’s crude oil needs, all the jet fuel at Pearson International Airport and about half the fuel needed by Quebec refineries to make gasoline. It’s important to Michigan as well, as it ships about 55 per cent of the state’s propane, and 65 per cent used in the state’s upper peninsula.”

Canada and US both have green leaders that feel eclectic cars are the solution and we can heat with alternate energy.

Funny thing about PA is they claim they have the highest gas prices and highest toll charges to fund highway repair, bridges, etc. Problem is PA has probably the worst roads and bridges than any other state. Someone is getting their pockets lined at our expense

The tolls! Now that's another topic. When we went to Ontario and back to pick up our boat trailer in Port Clinton, I couldn't believe the tolls. It seemed like we were stopping every few miles in Illinois to pay tolls, and Indiana was crazy expensive with the triple axle trailer.

yep. 3.09 here now. up over 40% since Biden was sworn in

Filled truck up with diesel today $3.39 everywhere around my area. Leaving for NC tomorrow morning curious what it is down there!
