I paid $1.49 a gallon last week.

Yeah I'm about 15 miles from the Ohio line and it's usually .30-.50/gallon cheaper so we often go over there to fill up. 3.09 here still

On top of that my wife has a former student that has a sister with 2 kids. Boyfriend is in jail again (about the 15th time literally). She is about 35 and has never had a job. She went to college for a short time then dropped out. The boyfriend has never had a job either. They are going to be getting loads every month for doing nothing, including free healthcare. They will get $5600 in stimulus and she probably gets about $800 or so /month welfare, boyfriend probably gets similar, then they will get $600/month for the kids, she gets food stamps, and gets free healthcare. That healthcare would cost me $1650/month and wouldn't be as good of coverage. I have the best plan my company offers and have had to pay for every penny of anything except prescriptions. She goes to the ER when she gets a hangnail and pays $0. Why would anyone in that position ever go get a job?

Read a good one the other day. Take a rich mans money and give it to a poor person and that person will still be poor but the rich man has the motivation and drive to get rich again. It's not about equality, but about drive and determination.

Yup and when they shut down all the oil platforms and refineries the handful that remain to support the diesel powered electrical grid, The price per barrel will be around $1000 and everyone’s electric bill at home And charging stations included “they” will make more money on that than they are making on fossil fuels that we’re using now

Oregon and Utah are now taxing miles driven since EVs are on the horizon. Also likely to tax cars that get more than 30 mpg.

PA turnpike has been under continuous construction since before I was born. They fix it whether it needs it or not. Yet, the road is still dangerous and bumpy. It’s where I always have a flat tire for some reason as well.

That road is down right scary to drive on. Narrow and the semis love to tailgate you in the tunnels.
