We'll with so many other Sea Ray models having an "Owners Club" thread, I figured the 560 DB (Sedan Bridge) should have a thread dedicated to the wonderful boat that it is.
Sea Ray 560 DB (Sedan Bridge)
The Sea Ray 560 Sedan Bridge is one of the best Sea Ray’s ever built, a remarkable Yacht...
Had the pleasure of going through two back-to-back 14/15ft waves the other week which played a little havoc. Now I have a leaky shaft seal.
Has anyone changed the shaft seal when in the water? Boat has the Tides marine sure/stong seal with spare. The video on their website makes it look...
The Furuno Radar decided to not work right this year. The radar only picks up 0-10% of what is out there. The Tuning indicator bar in the top right of the screen (which is supposed to read 50-80%) reads between 10-25% at best.
If you crank the gain all the way up, small dots will appear...
The port batteries (the two 8D's which seem to both start the port engines and are the house batteries) were dead. I noticed underneath the Mastervolt battery charger there was a gold color block with heat sinks that looked burnt.
I replaced the batteries and they work well. I still do have a...
Being the hot head I am made a dummy mistake today. A very nice 44SD was at the Marina and two Captains were giving a docking delivery lesson to the new owners.
When I dock & leave a dock it's almost looks like a docking competition as the boat near instantly leaps to 7 1/2+knots when you...
Filled the water tank and the very next morning it was empty (normally a tank full lasts four days with four people aboard). Took a look in the bilge and it looks like the water heater is leaking from the bottom/middle.
So I need a water heater which you'd think would be no big deal to...
Hauled the boat for fresh bottom paint & new zinks. The hydraulic lift wouldn't work this year, pressures/everything checked out okay from inside the boat. Culprit ended up being barnacles, which were holding the safety latch shut. Works like a charm again! Also had a nice 1/2 line around the...
So who else is counting down the hours until this weekend... I have approx 64hrs to go... This weekend is going to consist of a trip on the chesapeake bay to the little choptank river and Solomons Island, maybe a stop in Cambridge and then dry dock Tuesday for fresh bottom paint.
What is...
Does anyone know if there is a place that sells the Sea Ray black see-through windshield covers? Mine is in good shape structurally but is starting to turn white in spots which looks ugly.
Thanks,
There has been some discussion here about the iPhone Navionics navigation/gps application. While browsing the iPhone Application site I see there are actually quite a few programs that look very nice.
Does anyone have any experience (pros/cons) on which application works best?
My trolling valve doesn't work, took the cover off the trolling vavle's control box and it looks like a relay section is fried out on the board. I did a search online for Hynautic but can't find their website. Does anyone know if an online parts store has Hynautic products listed so I can see...

Now that would be fun...would make a great business if they'd offer to take people like us out for $$$
Can only imagine how much fun it would be to drive the boat!
Looking for some help here in selecting a tender…
I need a "safe" dingy to haul two people and two 150lb dogs to shore. I think I'd like at least 11ft and can go as much as 13ft long. My secondary requirement is that the dingy be no more than 650-700lbs with engine for the hydraulic lift...
Went to the marina today (on the South River), it looks like they haven't got new fuel yet as the diesel price is still at $2.61 (taxes included).
If you have fuel up recently or passed by the fuel dock let us know what the current pricing is and what area!
Was reading boattest.com and it looks like PETA wants to rename Fish to "Sea Kittens":

Even have a "Fish Empathy Quilt" they've put together...
We're having an informal CSR get together at St. Michael's Marina the weekend of October 4th and 5th. If you haven't been to St. Michael's it is a fantastic town with great marinas, great restaurants, fun shops, and lovely landscape. Great fun for just about anyone, the kids, and extremely dog...
Anyone intersted in organizing an end of season CSR event sometime in late October? Perhaps back in Baltimore or maybe in Annapolis? Yay, Nay, any Ideas?
