Interesting. I ordered a new cap and rotor $17.00 shipped to my door. I should have it Wed so Thursday I will go down and replace and check for start. If its a no go I will try the starter motor.

There is a kill switch on a 280DA? Where? and if there was, why would the stb engine still run?

I didn't want to sound stupid so I didn't say all the things I did try. I swapped: ecm part no. 864376T05 relays part no. 807057T ignition coil part no. 392-863704T None of them made the port engine fire. Fortunately, when I put them back on the stb it still ran. phew!

I am guessing at this point I either have a cracked distributor cap or a bad rotor or both. The boat is a couple of hours from the house so I was wondering if their is any other thing I should check. I hate to check the cap and rotor and still have no luck then what :huh:

I tried this on Saturday with no luck. If I understand correctly, the IAC valve controls fuel air mixture and has nothing to do with spark. I tried this before I tested the plugs. After this didn't work I checked the plugs and I was getting no spark. Thanks for the suggestion.

My trim tab was not up 100% when the boat was lifted out of the water. The flange that mounts to the hull has deflected 15-20 degrees and I have some hydro fluid leaking between the mating surfaces of boat/ram.

I have a 2003 280da. Does anyone know if you can use the A1101A Standard Actuator to replace the Sea Ray A2214.5A Actuator. From what I can tell the only dif is the stoke, 2 1/16 on the Sea Ray and 2 1/2 on the A1101A Standard. Thanks

I purchased a 03 280da with twin 5.0s. My friend has a 06 Bayliner 275. Any chance the da will fit on his two axel trailer? The trailer says RVRW of 12,000lbs. I need to move the boat 52 miles. Any thoughts?

OK, this getting very close to being a done deal. $43k is the purchase price as long as the survey goes well. Where can I find a manual? Not a supplement, I got that, but a manual that tells me how all the systems work etc. Thanks.
