    Engine Start Problems

I have had the same issue - but only when the water temp is pretty warm (i'm in GA). Bought a brand new 310 SLX and the starboard issue had all sorts of issues just like this late last summer 2019. I went to the top at SeaRay, had Mercury engineers fly down - all inconclusive. basically said...

    New boat engine issues

@BillK2632 Thanks for the info. I've learned quite a lot about it over the last few weeks. SR themselves have now reached out to me to try and smooth things over and according to SR, Mercury is supposedly sending a tech here to survey the situation. More "hurry up and wait..." I'll fill...

    New boat engine issues

Hi Guys, well still don't know the cause. They have been able to replicate it and at the instruction of Mercury & SeaRay they have taken another 310 SLX, that's new on their dock, and installed temp gauges in the engine compartment and then put it through the paces to see what the readings are...

    New boat engine issues

It's the starboard engine. Port engine starts and runs just fine - good thing too cause it got my family home twice. I'm waiting on the full details of what's been done so far, but I at least know they have checked codes and pressure and maybe a couple other things and all is "normal."

    New boat engine issues

Thanks for the info - that was my sentiment exactly. 15 hours on an engine and this shouldn't be happening (and it's not happening on the other engine). Just to be thorough, last weekend I left the hatch up for 4-5 hours and it still wouldn't start. It cranks, but won't fire. Thankfully they...

    New boat engine issues

So I thought I'd throw this out there for anyone who's interested or who might have some insight. Picked up my new 310 SLX a few weeks back - beautiful boat! First weekend out with the family, lost an engine. Ran great for a while, then just wouldn't restart. Reported it, and they couldn't...

    New Hoist Cost

So in looking around on the site it seems the consensus on the cost of a new hoist is about $1 per pound. Well, I thought I’d post the quote I just received for a 14k lift for a 310 slx. $24k... needless to say I was pretty shocked. At that price I can’t seem to justify lifting a...

    Another warranty thread

Thanks guys for the info. I'm waiting on documentation to be sent to me to "explain" it. I'll report back on it when i receive it for others who may be interested.

    Another warranty thread

So, I've worked my deal on my new SLX (310) and am happy with where I got to (approx 23% off msrp). My question is this... I'm financing through an outside company and the dealer is going bat$hit crazy about wanting the financing, then on top of that, they are of course pushing the warranty -...

    Russell Marine vs. MM

Hi guys, In the market for a new boat and was curious if anyone had any experience with Russell Marine. I'm looking for an alternative to MM and RM is only a couple hours from me and has a nice selection of new SRs. This isn't my first boat. Thanks

    350 SLX vs. 400 SLX

Hi, I'm new hear and debating between the 350 and 400 SLX (IO on both) and was curious if anyone who owned one could chime in on their experience. I have a fairly large family (six) and wife wants a large day boat and the ability to entertain others. Also curious, if someone is willing to...
