I got the same problem, but when trimming up. Still there after replacing both solenoids. What a pita and waste of time.

The 120AC outlet in the cockpit keeps tripping. Replaced the outlet itself, which had seen water. And then the GFI outlet in the head as well, as it continues to trip. Any idea's?

Just went in the water last weekend, for my third season with this boat. Awesome boat, not too big, not to small. Current project is adding Simrad radar and chart plotter, so figuring out how to route and wire it all up by searching and scrolling. Categories would sure help.

    2020 Splash/Maiden Voyage Pics

Not a splash, but first overnight, weather has been terrible this spring, so was excited to get out. Flat calm run across, so happy letting her rip. One of the few places on the east coast where you can watch the sun set in the west over water, right about over Manhattan. Taken at Mt Sinai, Long...

The truck is an interesting set up, nothing like it in use in boat yards here. Almost like a concrete pump truck. Any pictures with boat on hoist? Assume they spun it around and put it in the water in front of truck. Boat looks great. Lets see some picture as to where you cruise, as I'm thinking...

Easy fix, yes. I like the fact that you can see what the charger is doing and what the batteries are at. You know what your starting with before heading out for a few nights on the hook. Now its my hot water heater that stopped working, wife kept turning the damn thing off, I turn it back on...

blue boat owners.... how u keep the blue nice???

I agree on what your starting with for a condition matters. The previous owner had the yard detail it. When I bought it the yard detailed it and I was not impressed. I have to say though that when I got done it looked perfect, I really could not believe how nice it cleaned up.

blue boat owners.... how u keep the blue nice???

For labor hours, it took me 20 hours to do just the blue. Yeah, it was hard work, but rewarding. I used a right angle buffer to begin with, and then switched to an orbital.

blue boat owners.... how u keep the blue nice???

I used one and a half hook and loop pads per side, plus regular spurring. The foam pads were two per side per step. Good point on the soap.

Four step process like described above. That is oxidation. 20 hours labor and looks like new. Here is a link to what I used, its listed in the comments.

This guy came in and tied up next to me last week, new member, another 280, but a 2011. Previous owner neglected it, but you can see a nice boat under the grim. I think 135 hours, single Merc 350.

Regarding the inverter/charger, I purchased another Progressive Dynamics, model PD2130. The 30 in the model number is the amps rating. What I had in the boat was the PD2030, in 16 years time they changed the part number, and added a small display screen in place of the gauge. Everything else...

Further to answer questions, reverse polarity is not lit. Dual purpose acid/lead batteries from that place out west, group 27 DC, all the same, all new. I did change the batteries slightly, from 750ca, 109ah @1a to 705ca, 90ah @20hr

Ok, The AC panel is showing 115 volts. Yes, I turned everything off, still no go. I just checked the 30A fuse in the converter itself, its ok. No power issues last night. The battery panel shown is the same as I mine. I too was wondering how to reset the dc breakers at 7 o'clock. The manual for...
