    Express to Sedan Bridge advice

We've had our 320 'Dancer for 6 seasons now and have really enjoyed it. But in the summer I like to use the boat as my "home" office and realized whenever I needed air conditioning or quiet to make a call, I'm down in the cabin with no sunshine and no view. So we're looking at moving to a 37'...

    Engine won't stay running

Here's a mystery I hope someone can help with. I was all set to enjoy a perfect day on Lake Ontario. 86 degrees, sunshine, no wind. Got the boat ready and went to start the port engine -- got nothing. No tone, no gauges, nothing. Starboard started fine so I tried the crossover (my bats are...

Does your dealer charge for travel and mileage?

Just got a bill from my dealer for diagnosing and replacing a bad thermostat. One of the biggest line items is $85.00 for "Travel to and from boat 21 miles". They also charged me $10.19 for 21 miles x .485 for mileage. Do all dealers do this?

    Exhaust manifold leak

Got a bit of a mystery. My '07 320da has about 105 hours on 350 mags with Bravo 3's. Last weekend while rafting up for an overnight with friends, my buddy noticed a noise when I came alongside that I would describe as "popping". Sounded like an exhaust leak. Checked into it more the next day and...

Taylor Marine "Fastback" on 320da w/soft top

I just ordered the Taylor Marine "Fastback" canvas for my 2007 320. Taylor told me they just finished the templates and delivered the first of these with the soft top option on a 2006 320 to a Sea Ray owner in Florida. I'm curious how the fastback looks connected to the soft top and was...

Gelcoat defect - what should SeaRay do??

My 2007 320DA has had its share of warranty fixes this year. The latest issue is a gelcoat problem. An indentation, very slight, starting at the forward hatch heading 6 inches to the aft, then makes a 90 degree turn to port for 18 inches or so. It is very noticeable and appeared all of a...

    House Battery?

I always thought, and was told by my dealer, that one of my two battery switches could be turned off to conserve power for engine starts while on the hook. I understood that "house" utilities (refers, lights, radio, VHF, water pump, head, etc.) is wired to one battery that could be left on...

    How tight is right??

Just installed the cockpit cover on my new 320da for the first time. It was really, really tight. So tight that I couldn't get everything to snap. I understand that Sunbrella covers shrink and it will loosen up with heat, time, etc. Any guidance on if/when I should talk to the dealer...

    Had my first look today!

My new 320DA isn't scheduled for delivery until May 4 but I drove to Buffalo today to see how prep was going. She is in the water and the dealer gave me all the time I wanted to board and enjoy! Everything looks great. Still waiting for the ice to clear the Niagara River so they can dial in...

    The perfect lake???

Hello Southeast boaters! My wife and I are considering a move to North Carolina and I wanted to ask your guidance and recommendations. We’re tired of the short summers in upstate NY and the high taxes are killing us. I need to live near a major airport for my business so immediately...

What should I expect from my SR dealer at delivery?

I will be taking delivery of my new 320DA in early May. I spoke to my dealer about the need to get a good coat of wax on the boat and he tells me that Sea Ray puts a coat on before it leaves the factory. Has anyone experienced this? Is it reasonable to expect the dealer to prep to that...

    Hydrogen generator?

I saw a news report from the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas that showed a hydrogen fuel cell system for power generation. I know this may be a ways off, but does anyone think this technology might work for marine applications? Here's the link if you want to take a look...
