Thanks for the replies and education. If I can, get a metal film - got it. There are some mother's window tint places here locally- I will call them. Anything else I should watch out for?
Called a window tint place yesterday thinking that requesting a quote would be the most difficult part of the process. Turns out, the guy said they really don't do boats bc the film they use is not made for marine environments.
Now, I thought that the process involved "dyeing" the window, not...
Turns out it may have been 2 things - the drain plug to a lesser extent (could gaurantee either way, so went ahend and fixed it) and the other, and more probable cause was some gasket around an exhaust ??????? (I'm lost here). Anyway, about $500 later, we appear to be good.
Am I understanding that exterior grade is the same as treated plywood? Lowes carries this. I can order marine plywood from Lowes or Home Depot, but I have no clue as to species (fir or ??). Right now there is 1/2". Thinking of jumping to 3/4". Might double check to see if enough vinyl left...
I need to replace some wood in the seat cushions in the boat as the wood has rotted on one (figured I'd knock out both). For this application, what type of marine plywood should I be looking into? Also, is there a big box national chain that maight have this?

Thanks for the replies.
Unfortunately unable to try it out this weekend, but I picked up my boat from service today. Was told the problem stemmed from the drain plug and the exhaust ??? Said required pulling motor to fix a $5 gasket/part and reseated drain plug (my words, not his). I truly hope this solves it...
A guy who was the service manager at Sail/Ski told me that rotary will blow orbital away. I bring it up bc I was bragging about my porter cable. I may need to pay him $200 to detail my boat.
I bought a 2000 180BR last year and it served me well through the summer, except for this pesky slow transom leak. Took it to a shadetree boat mechanic and he put some silicone (or similiar) around the lower (Said factory stuff goes bad). This did not work.
For this year, I have decided...
