Hey fellow anglers!
I recently got into the fishing hobby and am already hooked. Now, I'm thinking of upgrading my boat with trim tabs to enhance stability and performance.
I've come across this new store called CKW Store that's offering some good discounts on trim tabs. I wanted to reach out...
Hi
I am fairly new to Boat Ownership, I have a 540 Sundancer 2013 and the Trim Tabs are not working.
I have been trying to locate the HPU but I cannot locate it anywhere. I also pulled the switch from the Control panel but it is a singular wire that I cannot find past where it can be seen.
I...
I recently acquired a 2011 sea ray 470 sundancer. It is equipped with three rocker switches to operate the trim tabs; port, starboard, and automatic. All three switches have a light indicator; however, it appears that only the automatic trim tab switch lights up when activated. I need to lower...
Hi all,
New to this forum. We currently have a 225 Weekender 2003. One season and time to move up to a bigger boat. When cruising, the trim tabs when held down do (pretty much) nothing.
We took a 260 for a test drive yesterday. it was listing a bit to the left so (in my infinite wisdom) I hit...
I have spent the last few hours trying to trace what I think might be a bad ground or poor connection causing voltage drop that is stopping my trim tabs from working. I can hear clicking of the Port & Starboard solenoids but the HPU motor will not run.
I looked at the Sea Ray Owners Manual and...
Hi, I just bought a 96 sundancer and the trim tabs won't go down. At first I checked the fuse and that was blown so I changed that. After that the pump ran but had no fluid in it so I filled it and tried again. Still nothing so I crawled in there only to find that the hydraulic line for the port...
We boat in Lake Michigan and our boat is in the water for about 5 months. I usually paint the smile and front of the hull annually but was wondering if I should be painting the exhaust outlet, trim tabs, and rudder. Typically, I have painted the trim tabs but they still seem to collect some...
Hi all,
Having some problems with our trim tabs blowing a 15amp fuse located on top of the engine block. Motor shuts down and complete loss of power. It blows it if you hold one trim tab button too long or if you hold both tabs (same direction). Last time this happened I replaced the fuse and...
has anyone installed this auto trim tab system for their 280? I bought one but havent installed it yet and wondering how it worked out as far as attitude and gas savings and also having multiple people on board, Thanks
My tabs are fully extended and won't retract. The reservoir pump is full to the line, I just installed new batteries and they show full 12+ volts. I can hear the motor run loud in one direction, and weak in the other direction (up/down). I assume weak on the down because they are extended. Any...
As many on this site have already lamented, the trim tabs on the 1999 - 2002 340s, and some other years as well, have been pretty well recognized as being undersized. They sure don't meet Bennet's recommendations! So, since I had them off the boat to apply the barrier coating, I though I would...
New Sea Ray Owner. Just purchased a 2006 Sea Ray 250 Amberjack with a Merc-Cruiser 5.0L Engine. Boat has 150 hours and is in generally good running condition. Boat operates in salt water (Hawaii).
(1) I was told that the manifold should be replaced every 3 years due to operating in a salt...
Bought this boar recently a 2006 model and found under acceleration the boat keels over to the left, adjusted trim tabs to full movement which doesn't seam to be much movement and it didn't make any difference, is this normal.
I have an Amberjack 290 built 2004. By the controls on the left
there are two trim tab switches to lower and raise the trim tabs.
On the right side are 3 x trim switches, 2 I guess to lower and
raise the left and right props but then what is the third switch?
If anybody has an Amberjack...
I'm relatively new to boating. Getting the feel for my boat I have been trying to figure out the optimal setting for trim on the engine and setting the optimum location for the trim tabs. Does anyone have some simple rule of thumb recomendations while running at 10 mps - 40 mph?
Thanks
