I’ve bought a new smart TV for the cockpit but the power ac plugs are different I would assume there’s an AC receptacle somewhere ! I took the access panel off behind the helm seat and all I got was ductwork for the AC , I reached in between the ductwork and felt some wires but clearly there has to be a AC plug somewhere my other thought was that wiring goes down into the engine/bilge area any help on how to change this cord would be helpful and I would be grateful thanks by the way I bought a 24 inch Samsung smart TV

If there is not an outlet to plug into, then you will probably need to run wires up there to make an outlet. It is unlikely that reaching in there and pulling out the wires for the engine or bilge area is going to help much.
If you're not sure what you're doing, then I'd recommend you call a boat mechanic. It won't take him long to set you up with an outlet for your TV to plug into. OR, you could get a big extension cord and run it around the floor to an outlet.

If your smart TV has a power supply "brick" check its voltage. If it is 12VDC, you can simply snip off the brick and wire directly up to your 12v System. If it puts out 18VDC (very common), you can wire in a step-up module and do the same.

I did this for my in cabin TV except I wired in a relay such that loss of AC automatically switches the TV over from AC to DC, so now it acts just like the dual-power fridge.

I believe the factory tv is wired to 120 ,and drops down to 12v with the inline converter/brick .so I believe there should be a 120 outlet some were that the power cord plugs in too

I think the OP is installing a TV in the cockpit where there is no plug.

Agree with all of the prior posts. The AC is on the other side and won't help you. Anyone installing a TV will generally run a 12v line over to that area and connect the TV into the new 12V line. You can terminate the TV with a cigarettle lighter adapter and the same on the 12v lead side. I did that but didn't size the wire properly for when we T the lighter adater into other things such as a portable 12v fridge we keep in the cockpit at times. I'll rerun some thicker wire at some point.

NO!! No !!! I'm trying to replace the factory old cockpit TV that is located on the strb side , should be a direct replacement for the new one but the TV plugs are different , but I'm not sure if it's hard wired or if there is a AC plug under there some were ??????

There is an AC receptacle. To get to mine I had to pull the undercounter refer out and found both the refer and TV were plugged into that hidden receptacle. Some disassembly probably required.

Post a picture of the wire/cord and where it runs into the boat. Might help us understand your set-up and options from there.

Your phone camera is your friend - stick it in the hole where you felt the wires - the plug is in there buried around the AC pipes. take a video and or pictures and it will lead you in the right direction.
