have a problem fueling my sea ray when it gets about 3/4 full it starts spitting gas out the filler neck is this a common problem or is something wrong thanksfor your help

Does this happen when you it is in the water or on the trailer?

it happens on land no matter what i do it still spits back

Definitely sounds like the vent. Can happen some times on the water if the boat is rocking.

I had a 1989 Classic 190 Bow Rider that did the same thing from the first day we got it (new). We just set the fuel filler rate on low and watched the grass grow.
