Has any one ever replaced the rubber track in the window that the window slides in? mine has wore out

YES AS A MATTER OF FACT I JUST REINSTALLED THE WINDOW ASSYMBLY YESTERDAY.Oppps, the rubber is available from taylor made .if you have a local dealer for taylor made products and he wont charge you for taylor mades 25 dollar handling fee to us (i dont think dealers pay it)that is where to order it from just show him the part # from the site.Unfortunatly this isnt the only place that leaks.I removed mine and cleaned the silicone from the boat and aluminum fram removed the screw covers and scrubbed them also the interior window gasket was nasty .The sliding window will lift up and then out .the long piece will slide back then up and out ,you my have to strewach the frame slightly but it will slide out.Clean Clean Clean, then reassemble .The gunky sseal tape can be bought at a local rv dealer and cut down with a razor carefully.put it on the frame first then slide the long piece back in care fully .This part took 4 tries so a 14.00 roll of the rv seal tape was cheap .you may want a helper for that part. There is a thread on here that shows where to drill a weep hole in the frame toward the rear I suggest you read it also as it is easier to drill when the window is out.you will have to make a few small drain holes in the new gaskets also, and probably make the inner seal a two piece because they dont streach back into lenght .I will look for the drill post and add it here if i find it.have fun.

gthe original post for drilling was by tobnpr find him and he will pm the photos to you.

Thanks for the help 1956 olds ,That gunky seal tape is that for sealing the frame to the hull ?Or for the NON sliding window to seal that in ? tomk
