Howdy all!
The old Morse Throttle/Shifter on my 1989 180BR is on it's last legs. Or maybe past that point.
When I bought the boat I knew the trim control switch was broken (moved to a separate switch on the dash) but the control is also having issues finding neutral, allowing me to disengage drive and throttle up during warm-up, etc. I think the control was damaged at some point as the handle is loose and the housing is cracked.
I know the previous owner (CSR member) did extensive work on adjusting the cables and those SEEM to be within spec, I think it's just the busted Morse Control.
From what I could find, there aren't many replacement parts for these and/or some feel they aren't worth replacing. Does anyone know of a source? If not, is there a recommended replacement that would work with the Alpha One Gen I and 4.3?
