Looking at a 89 340 Express twin 7.4. Fully loaded ac/Genny/ Factory Bow Thruster. 1200 hrs. fresh water. Is there a thread specifically for 84-89.? Presently have 96 270 Sundancer. Single 7.4. I will be new to shaft drives and twin engines. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Think we could get it for around $ 25-27,000.00 Canadian. Love the wide beam and big bed. No need to take table down to sleep any more (first mate loves that idea).

I owned an '89 340 Sundancer. Looking back it may have been my favorite boat. With the Express you get straight shafts rather than v-drives....a plus in my opinion. The big bed is awesome and king bedding will fit it. We used to sleep the wife and I and our 2, 90 lb. dogs on it easily. 1200 hours is getting up there but how the engines were maintained is more important. Once you learn to handle the boat with inboards you will wonder why you waited so long.

Please be sure and do a sea trial and get a survey. Good luck

I agree with what Shawn said. I love my ‘88 340 Sundancer. I was even looking at a Rinker last weekend because it was 15 years newer and a great price. But, I decided to keep my 340. It’s a little older, but a great boat!

I’ve got 1200 hours on my engines. As Shawn said, it depends on how they were maintained. I just had some maintenance done and after a test drive, the mechanic said they were running great. Still hitting all the specs as if they were new.
