For those with that horrible big blue or maroon helm here's some easy updates.
Hatch replaced with 10mm smoke perspex used existing hinges $150 material

Helm covered in white vinyl approx $140 material glued straight on

Switches, new perspex cut, covered in wood wrap, new switch banks added approx $90

Look sway way better in my opinion

We still have the blue shag carpet and the headliner is in need of TLC. I need to pull the rails off the deck and reseal the anchor points. Rub rail needs the screws pulled and resealed too. Lots of work to do, marina will not let us in due to COVID lockdown. Nice work.

Thanks for the inspiration. I’m just starting to do same work in the cabin and thought oh no. Started with reupholstered cabin cushions and backrest. Did you remove the cabinets from the walls? Quite the jigsaw puzzle to remove everything, any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
