Good evening fellow boaters, does anyone know what size packing material 1/4 or 5/16 is used for a 1990 Sundancer 310 with V-Drives?
My boat is currently shrink wrapped and was hoping to get a head start and pre-order the GFO GoreTex Marine Shaft Packing.
I know how to measure for it, but I was hoping that their might be someone with an 1990 era Sundancer (I believe they have the smaller diameter shafts then later models) that already knows the answer...

Thanks,

When doing packing on my 1991 310 sundancer with v-drives I used 1/4 in. Shafts are 1 1/4 diameter. Owned (still) for 21 years. Not much I haven't done with the systems on this boat. Last year after broken shaft, which since I've heard is not a matter of if but when, I installed pss dripless. Among many other upgrades. In my opinion one of the best models Sea Ray made! By the way, are your arms extra long and can you stand on your head? Lol!

Thanks for the reply. I suspected 1/4, but its great to get confirmation. "Long Arm" LOL... I know, I'm dreading it...
