The wife & I just bought our 3rd Sea Ray and as you would expect, each one is bigger than the one before it. Our first Sea Ray was an 18' Bowrider and our second was a 1989 230 Weekender with 7.4 Merc & Bravo I.

Our 3rd and latest purchase is a 1991 250 Weekender with a 7.4 Magnum & Bravo II in June 2004, LOA 28' 6' We bought is in Wright'sville Beach Carolina after searching for two years and looking at a lot of junk. It has AC with reverse cycle heat, hotwater, camper canvas, etc, etc, etc... and came with a 2001 Fast Load Aluminum Trailer. It is in excellent condition inside & out because it was only used on freshwater and had 450 documented hours. We live in Richmond VA and keep our boat at a boatel in Hampton VA and spend the weekends fishing, playing and sleeping on her. The boat name is Weekend Mistress IV. (Thats where all my time and money go!!)

We love to fish for flounder, trout & stripers in the lower Chesapeake Bay and close to shore in the Atlantic Ocean. So we removed the pleasure boat seating and put them in storage and installed captains chairs to get the maximum fishing space. We added rod holders in the gunnels and a set of rod holders for wireline across the stern. We plan to add GPS & Freshwater Cooling if the budget allow next year and eventually want a hard top and enclosure with small outriggers if we win the lottery.

This is a great size boat for the two of us because we are empty nesters and can take 8' seas when heading around Cape Henry Light better than I expected. If you are coming down our way let us know and don't be afraid to stop by and introduce yourself.

Regards & Tight Lines to All,
Kevin & Sandy Smith
Weekend Mistress
