When I run the boat on plane the rearward floor compartment in the cabin fills with about 1" of water. The floor under the aft bed soaks with water. When sitting still, very little if any water enters the compartment. The water appears to enter through small cracks in the corners of the rear compartment. The water has a very foul odour similar to rotting vinegar.

The engine compartment stays relatively dry.

There are no holes visible in the bottom of the boat.

The hatches have been sealed and there is no water entry evident on the railing stanchons or cleat fasteners.

Any ideas about how water might be entering the sealed areas on either side of the floor compartments? Are they really sealed?

Thanks

The odor implies it is coming from somewhere inside the boat. Time to check the foam for saturation.

That is a lot of water. While the boat is sitting, can you see any water after you have opened all of the hatches in the floor, under the bed, removed the mid-cabin cushions, and the board over the water tank?

Possibly you could get a shop vac and suck all of the water out of the bilge and see if you can see where any new water is entering.

Fresh or salt water? You need to know if it's a sea water that's entering or you have leak in your plumbing.

P.S. I just saw your location and looks like you're in fresh water, which makes it harder to determine if it's a sea water coming in.

In any event, I would try to trace it to the furthest point toward the boat and see where the leak might be coming from.

Also, do a search on CSR. We have number of threads that go in to details in regards how to find the leaks.

Against The Wind Had this problem a couple years back, and he had a heck of a time getting to the bottom of it. (we slip on the same dock)
I believe that the problem was the trim ring leaking on the head porthole. Water was seeping down between the walls and showing up in the mid cabin floor.
You may also want to check on the radar arch for leaky mountings of radars, antennas, etc.
Check this thread out, it may help...
PM him, he can tell you for sure all he looked into to finally get it fixed.
