1996 400DB owners

Can anyone tell me if the dinette table on a 1996 400DB is supposed to fold down into a bed? It seems like it should, but the table is about 1/2" too wide and I haven't found any extra filler cushons.

I have the same year and model vessel. And, I asked the same question before I purchased it. The answer is no, the dinette does not convert to a bed. The reason being is that you step up into the dinette and it would be a safety hazard if converted to a bed since the bed would be exposed to the open steps. I hope you can follow what I mean.
