1996 Searay 370 Engine overheating in idle

I have twin 454’s in my 1996 370 Sundancer. While I was coming in last time I had the boat out the starboard engine started getting too hot, but if I revved the engine a bit the temperature would go back down. Any suggestions? Anyone ever had this problem before?

Also my port side temperature gauge isn’t working at all, the previous owner said it worked fine last year. Also looking for suggestions on this issue, especially since the one engine is getting hot.

You need a new impeller... probably running on just a few fins.

Temperature gauge could be the sender or the gauge itself... hard to tell. Replace the sender first.
