I have a 1999 270 with a 7.4 mpi. I replaced the fuel pump and upon trying to start it I smelled gas.
I have discovered at the back of the fuel rail right near where the fuel line connects there is a hairline spilt in the fuel rail itself.
I'm not sure if it can be fixed (brazed closed) but looking to replace.
While looking for a replacement fuel rail it seems no one has it, not even ebay.
Are there any alt replacements i.e GM 7.4 fuel rail ?

I thought the automotive one work or a one from a different motor. Someone will chime in and help

What is your engine's serial number? Not saying I have the answer... but the serial number helps.

Rail part number is 802629
I will get a picture once I get it removed today

Harden Marine is listing one.
Mercruiser dealer can check inventory for entire country, they can also tell you if they are going to make more.

That's the same rail I have on mine and it's a pretty solid piece of aluminum not a metal rail like the 8.1's

I can't seem to post a pic of it as it say file too large and I don't know how to make it smaller.
But its a hair line split just after the bracket where the fuel line comes in

Thought I read the last time this happened that one off of a Volvo or crusader or something like that would work I can't find the post
