1999 Sea Ray Sundancer 330 rough engine

We have a port engine idling and running running rough. 7.4l MPI. I have checked the fuel filter and it didn't have water or any debris in it. When you turn on the ignition the pressurization noise you usually hear sounds strange and a little gurgled, so I am thinking that is the issue. Has anyone changed a fuel pump on a similar boat or engine? Big job?
I think the culprit is part number 3 in the chart. Fuel pump assembly.

Before changing the fuel pump check the fuel pressure. The pump may not be the problem.

Thanks Mark. I have a mechanic coming Wednesday to check pressures and compressions in the cylinders. I'm hopeful it is just the pump, and it is something I can do on my own.
