2000 CAT C-12 Engine Data Display Issue

Hello,

I have 2 engine data displays that have been slowly developing a large dark spot in the middle of them making them very hard to read. does anyone know if this is common? I have a picture of the display attached for reference but not with the current problem. I will add soon. As far as I know, nothing has happened to them as far as water getting on them, etc. they are always covered when not in use. Thank you for the help
