Hello Everyone!!!
New to the Cruiser experience. We just bought a 2001 Sundancer 310 that has been maintained with great care and is a beautiful vessel. Our first experience was to pull it out of a Marina in Daytona Beach, drive it via the Intercoastal Waterway, down the coast, Across the lock system of the Okeechobee Waterway, and then up the coast to its' new home in Anclote, Florida. An incredible 4 day adventure on a perfect boat.
We've had inboards and outboards but never a boat of this style and size. We call it our "Condo on the Beach". Beauty is we have so many beaches to experience.
We're not sure what most people do with their boats. We have always driven out to Anclote and backed our boat in with a back anchor and spent the afternoon with friends. We haven't done this yet with this boat. Just bought a back anchor. What we have done is to take it to Caladesi Island off Dunedin Florida and spent the weekend. They have docks with power and encourage boat camping. It was perfect.
We're just learning how to enjoy this new lifestyle and looking for tips and pointers.
