A good friend picked up a 2002 220 Sundeck needing an engine. He installed a reman short block and all is well except there is an "extra" bit of wiring that he cannot identify or figure where it goes? I have attached a few pics.....anybody know?

Need a little more info on the first picture. What color is the wire inside the wire loom? Could be green bonding wire, black ground, etc....

The plugs: looks like one could be for the Idle Air Control (IAC) on a throttle body injector system while the other is the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS).

Thanks DWA!........Anybody else have a clue?

I believe one connects to the high pressure pump (cool fuel 2) and there should be a mating connector in the vicinity of the oil pressure sending unit.

The cool fuel wire should be in the engine harness itself and be Yellow/pink and black.
This is coming out of the boat side of the harness before the engine ten pin round connector.

I think you unplugged something that was just in the way during the engine swap. not directly engine related.
Start with how long it is, the matching device has to be near the end of its length or a foot or so closer.

Check the outdrive trim/tilt and limit switch wires are they still in place? Each would be two wires.
(does the trim and tilt work right now?)
