That looks amazing with the new trim on it. Much more finished look.
Nice work!

That edging looks fantastic. Can you let us know the installation method? Particularly for how it is attached to the edge and underneath the hatch. Did you take any pictures?
Your project turned out great.
That looks amazing. But all I can really see when I look at those pictures are $$$'s
Fantastic project. I bet you're super pleased you switched up the flooring? Those colors look perfect together...
That looks great. The hatch edges have kept me from attempting this, but these look great. Curious how they feel on bare feet.
When can you start?
LOL.
I just took 10 years off my knees and back I think
Wait until you see the price….. your back will all of a sudden feel 10yrs younger or you will fall back in love with your current carpetI may have to hire this out...not sure my back has that much time left....
Thanks for posting those. The tight fit will be good in the long run I think. The top edge will be held tightly down to the surface. The aluminum is easy to file too, so I would bet that once you did the first one and got the learning curve done, the last ones went a lot faster. Great job. That is exactly how I will be doing mine.I sent these to Dave but I'll share for anyone interested. This is how the edge system works. Its really designed for 6mm flooring and to be screwed down but because mine is 6.5mm I just hammered it onto the edge of the hatches and exposed edge of the main floor and it stays in place nicely.

My quote all in was $9k…. I now love carpet …… like a lotOh yeah, that first one was a grind but it went smoother after that. My problem was only being able to spend 2-3 hours at a time on it so it took many sessions.
still, I wouldn’t be shocked to see $5k+ In a labor estimate from a pro
