Hey all! Looking for ideas. Having some challenges using the ladder to reboard the boat from the water. I'd like to add one or more grab handles...possibly even a small vertical one. Has only else done this? There is a grab bar currently installed but for this short-legged chick, it's too far away to safely grab.

Any suggestions? Would love pictures of what others have done!

Trying to "get over the hump", right? :)

There's any number of options including something simple like dropping a rod holder into the platform and making a vertical handrail. The nice there is that it's removable and is flush when not in use. Installing an actual handrail onto the platform would become a tripping hazard. The vertical handrail could be as simple or fancy as you want.

But... try this first to see if it will work. Get a short piece of about 1-1/2" PVC and cut it to 12" or 18" long. Thread a length of 3/8" rope through it to make a large loop. The loop can be slipped onto your ski tow eye. Adjust the loop to the length you want. Cheap and easy, it might be enough.

All kinds and makes of these out there if Dennis' idea doesn't work out for you. This is just one example.

Just adding on to the redneck idea I mentioned above... you could even go REALLY crazy and create TWO PVC rungs! Or even just tie some large knots in a rope.

I looked at these from a different manufacturer one time. There is a socket that goes in the platform and these are removable....
