I have been reading some of the threads about AC unit popping breaker. I have a 2005 Sundancer 280 and my Ac started popping the breaker. I turn it on and it starts up but as soon as the condenser ( i think) goes "click" it pops the breaker. I can turn on the unit and just run the fan and its fine but as soon as I turn it to cool and it goes to kick on the cool cycle it clicks and breaker pops. Should i have water running through it and coming out the side of the boat with running just the fan? Because mine does not have water coming out when i just run the fan.

Oh and I am hooked up to shore power and everything else on the boat is working as it should.

I had a buddy with a similar issue once. His turned out to be a bad breaker in the panel. It's rare, but it can happen. If you have a different circuit with the same size breaker, open up the panel and swap them as a test.

Other than that, you are looking at a possible bad/weak connection somewhere or something internal that is causing the unit to draw more power than usual.

Worst case is the compressor is shot. Best case is no water flow due to blockage. Does the breaker flip immediately when cooling cycle comes on? Are there any error or fault codes on screen?
