Recently got a 175 sport, and the trim fluid is a little low. Need to know what to add. Is SAE30 correct? Also wondering about engine oil and drive oil specs. Thanks!

Re engine oil and drive depending on what engine and drive an owner has. Use Mercruiser products and you’ll be fine.

Yup, easiest thing is just use the Merc stuff. Other products can be fine, as well - but the Merc stuff is very good and you don't have to 'guess' if it's OK, or not.

Merc makes their own trim fluid, but straight 30 is perfectly acceptable, as well. Keep an eye on that - it shouldn't get low unless there's a leak. Level should be checked with the drive down - are you doing that? That's the proper way to do it.

As for the other lubes.............
I always went by the book, Merc / Quicksilver.
Engine oil, 25W-40.
Drive lube....you want the one that reads HP (high performance). Merc/QS have 2 kinds (premium and HP)

Yes, it is trimmed down, and the reservoir looks like it is only 2/3 full. Looked b/c after taking it out a couple of times, we had trouble trimming up. No sign of a leak; will have to check after filling and cycling. Planning on getting it serviced anyway since just got it used and even though only 110 hrs, atf/ps fluid looks a little low and dirty, and drive lube looks a little low as well.
