6 beeps usually is a bad sensor or sensor value out of range (high or low). What does oil pressure, water pressure, engine temp, voltage, etc all read?

It's a generic fault that a sensor is not happy. Are all gauges reading properly?

Double check that your battery is fully charged and healthy (load test). Then scan it with a Merc computer to find the system that is complaining and troubleshoot from there. I've never used it, but maybe if you buy the VesselView Mobile and plug it in, maybe it will give you more detailed info.

All gauges are working. Both batteries were fully charged so I did a load test and discovered #1 good and #2 bad. (Before I was starting the engine with batteries on the "Both" setting). Going to replace both to be safe and hopefully that corrects the fault code and limp mode problem. Thanks for your advise.

Replaced the bad battery but the problem still remains. Guess it's back to the drawing board.
