Not a boating day here.
Was 34 degrees when I went out for coffee this morning. It’s up to 40 now.
Why can’t we be breaking high temp records... not low ones...ridiculous
I hope that's degrees C
You can land a 747 on that swim platform! WOW!
There is lots of room. It is nice when we are hanging in the water.
My son lives in Seattle. He texted complaining about the heat (no air conditioning in his apartment). Temperatures in the Yukon (Whitehorse) were in the 70s Thursday when we were having lake effect snow flurries.
Silver lining is that the polar vortex has kept the normal spring warm moist southerly jet stream flows from pumping more water into the Great Lakes! So the seasonal increases in April (and May so far) have been less than normal (for a change). I will take the cold weather if that is the benefit! At least until the middle of June.
We couldn’t get her home this weekend but we got to go for a 2hr ride down Narragansett bay to Newport and back. Boat ran good. Docking was interesting with a 20mph wind on beam.
Not a big splash thank god but floating .... let the summer begin
I was able to splash last Friday. Great to be back in the water.
It was blowing 25-35mph with temps holding in the mid 40's. But hey...at least it wasn't raining.
Then it started raining...so now the top is wet, canvas is wet, I am wet...you get it...
To day it was my turn
dream boat right there!
The truck is an interesting set up, nothing like it in use in boat yards here. Almost like a concrete pump truck. Any pictures with boat on hoist? Assume they spun it around and put it in the water in front of truck. Boat looks great. Lets see some picture as to where you cruise, as I'm thinking not too many of us have been to that part of the world.
Got in last Saturday, perfect timing because the weather has been beautiful here in Northern NY since we splashed and will continue until the middle of next week!
Splashed Wednesday, took care of the last recommissioning things yesterday and now it’s time to enjoy not being home.
My 38 was dropped back in the water yesterday after antifoul, polish, propspeed and new hull stripes. Autoglym polish used on the hull this time.
Finally dropped our boat in the drink! Quick denaming and renaming ceremony and we were on our way. Great weather this past weekend in Ontario
This is a common way to move a boat here in Sweden. Here you have some Picture of it.
