2022 "Un" Splash pics.

And beside a tug boat?….. I’m sure no grinding welding painting going on there…. You really don’t have any pull there :)

haha I’ll take a picture of that thing next time I’m there, fairly certain it hasn’t been moved in a decade. I’m going to stand on it to wax the port side in the spring

Drain all fluids first!!! I know you know, just a buddy safety check. I even drain oil and gear lube. Leave empty, refill in spring. Feel safer with it in the house that way.
So what happened with the survey on the yacht?

Point taken! I will run them in water until they die (to get the gas out of the lines). No word back on the survey but the engines ran well and the Kohler Generator started right up and passed with flying colors so that was good. I think we hit about 42 mph at WOT. Not gonna lie -- I was a little nervous to put the hammer down and let her rip

Got a boat under my bow. Not gonna be swapping anchor and rode during the winter. Did graphine nano on the hull today. Hope it works. Kind of weird because it's not slippery.

Haul out.jpg

Came out today. Kinda glad as I have a boatload of projects to do. Couldn't really enjoy her cause she ain't quite ready for me.

But I'll tell you. Some boaters are real SOBs. Arrive at the fuel dock today, one boat tied up waiting for haul out. Tiara floating around. I pull up to the dock and the guy is PO because the Tiara cut in front of him because he missed his haul out time. Same thing almost happened to me. I'm sitting at the dock waiting for them to complete the previous boat and this guy rides up in a 50 something sundancer. Sits right in front of the well. He clearly sees me waiting at the fuel dock. But sits there anyway. Looks like he called the office, and thankfully after a several minute conversation, the office told him to pound sand -- I was next and then they go to lunch. So the guy hangs there for like 20 mins. then just as they are bringing the lift over, with my boat running and half untied, he asks for help pulling into a slip. I was like WTF -- no way am I making the marina staff wait for lunch. Luckily there was another guy on the dock who could help him, so I bailed and went to the well. They pulled her, a quick bottom wash, and then off to lunch. I came back, paid the bill, and went to check the bottom while they pulled up with the truck to mover her.

After putting a ‘whopping’ 10hours on her this year because of moving all Summer, I finally Winterized her and she is getting wrapped up today. We had snow yesterday. Looking forward to next year because of the non-boating year we had.

This morning. I’d go outside and take a better pic, but I’m nice and cozy enjoying a coffee. You can see the slop has melted.

FYI…it is not by the office. It is tucked safely away inside for storage waiting for the warm spring to arrive…

Ohh I know exactly what those windows are. I got yelled at for using too much water (from a bucket no less) whilst parked in that location several years back...:)

We were on the water Saturday, sunny and 80 degrees. Tonight it is supposed to get down to 25 degrees. I haven't winterized yet. Makes me nervous, but at least she is inside. Next Saturday it is supposed to be in the mid 80s. Crazy.
