230 weekender prop size

I am currently using a four blade prop, was wondering if anybody could tell me whether a 3 blade stainless would be better for a long trip up river.

Your cruise speed should be better with a 4 blade prop so keep what you have.

What pitch prop are you running and what motor do you have? My 230 Weekender with the 7.4 came with a Mirage 17 pitch prop and it got great fuel economy and was really quick on the hole shot and great on the top speed of just over 50 mph.

Normally the number of blades is not as important as the pitch. That is especially true when running lighter weight boats like the 230 Sea Ray.
