240 Overnighter

Anyone have a 240 Overnighter?
What kind of performance are you seeing?
I can get mid to upper 40s

1996 240 Overnighter
7.4 Merc Bravo I
All stock except thru hull out the side (nice touch but I don't think it changes the performance)

I purchased a '93 24' Overnighter with the same power package this last year. It has about 600 hours on it. I am only getting about 40 mph with full fuel and 4 passengers. My engine rpm is about 4200. I have not yet done anything mechanical to the boat. This spring I am planning new carb and full tune up. I would love to see more mph.

Congrats on the purchase! Keep me updated on your upgrades. I'd be interested to hear what you've done and what performance you get out of it.

There's a few of us who have these boats...FireRooster and a few others.

Mine is a 94 7.4 Bravo1 also with about 480 hours on it.
I used to get 4300-4500 on rpm now am maxing out at 3800-4000 after having had plugs, oil changed, and coil changed. Can't figure out how to get the last few hundred rpm's back. It has slowed me down some....top speed about 35 mph.

Nice fun boat definitely.
