240 Sundancer sound insulation

Has anyone removed the foam from the bilge hatch and replaced with something like dynamat? And also what about a thin foam strip to seal the hatch lid?

also can someone give me a part number to match the hatch gas shocks arms for a 2007 240 sundancer?

Google "mass loaded vinyl". Sounddown is one manufacturer.

If you look in your parts manual (available on SR's site if you don't have the original), you will find the shocks. The part number you find will work at any SR dealer. But you will also find the lb-rating along with compressed/extended length and then you can buy from anywhere (don't get the cheap ones from an auto store!). You can also look at the shocks for the poundage and then measure the shocks.
