Not for nothing....but I'm shocked no NJ city had a neighborhood in the top 25.....

Baltimore made in there twice.....I think one of them is right in the BIH......

25 Most Dangerous Neighborhoods

I heard that. I say we give those neighborhoods more ammo and let them have at it. Let them "self clean".

Agree - has Newark really improved?

Those B'more neighborhoods are well north of the inner harbor although the exploded view of the one does look like it's right in the harbor area.

HBO did a series several years ago called "The Wire" directed by David Simon (formerly of Homicide - if you remember that TV show). It's about inner city Baltimore and the challenges of the drug world, the police force, the working man, school kids, etc. It's some of the best tv (it's not tv, it's HBO!) I've ever seen. As realistic as can be - Worth finding and renting if you haven't seen. Anyhow, it paints a picture of some of Charm City's neighborhoods!

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

OK, so Jersey isn't #1 in crime, except in the legislature. But we are #1 in being bad for business. That's something. And the legislature is still in session working on a "budget." So we're pretty well assured of hanging onto that #1 position.

A 1 in 9 chance of being a victim! So if ten of us decide to take a walk, and we do venture north of Little Italy, only 9 will be coming back? Who is taking point??

I doubt it, but just to perform a little test, when you're up for the 4th, we can take your 48DA north a bit and dock it along the Newark waterfront.....Any volunteers to spend the night?......I didn't think so....!!! (fyi.......unless you are law enforcement, NJ does NOT allow any 'legal' guns on board)

I'll stick behind eating my share of canolis......

No, if nine go, only 8 are coming back. (88.9%)

10 took a walk....I stayed behind to eat canolis.....9 went forward.....8 come home....

Wow, how re-assuring it is that my downtown office is a mere 12 blocks away from #1!! Sheesh.

An old Detroit joke

Tourist to a cop: How far is it to the Renaissance Center?
Cop: Don't know....no one's ever made it.

It's a sad state for Detroit (formerly the murder capital) to only have one in the top 25.

Maybe a bit too much "self-cleansing"?

Well things can improve, some 15 years ago, Ft.Lauderdale was #1 and at one interesectikon it was murder capital of the nation.

A few Billion bucks later and we aren't on the 25 list any longer and cops are back giving seat belt tickets:smt038
