270 Sundancer with Kohler 4CZ starter replacement

Okay, spent the last couple hours trying to get to the starter. Got the shroud bolts loose but can't get shroud out of the way. No clearance.

Is there anyone out there with a 1996 270 Sundancer with the kohler generator installed who has done the starter replacement? They left so very little room to work with the genny tucked up against the starboard hull. I am trying to figure out how to get the shroud out of the way so I can reach the starter bolts.

Taking any and all suggestions.
