270 weekender aft jump seat

The legs on my standard at jump seat broke yesterday as my 6'4 240 father was sitting on the fold out aft seat and we hit a 3' wave. When I was shopping for my boat I ran across a few boat in this model that had the kind of seat shown in the
Iink above.
Even though we use the boat mainly for fishing, it would I thin this seat would be a nice option when the family is aboard. Does anyone know if this was a factory option, or is this a custom application.

I too am looking for a different way than my current back seat along the transom works.

Right now my seat is FIXED,

I have seen other 270 boats where the back seat folds flat against the transom.

I would for more room like to be able to fold the seat against the transom.

Is that what you are looking for?

Are you looking for the leg supports or the entire seat? The seat base is only plywood covered in Formica with a cushion on top. The legs are aluminum or stainless tubing on a plastic swivel attachment. Searayman13 on ebay probablly has them, and I think a SS version is available from WM.
I had mine break last summer under similar circumstances and replaced the plywood and formica with materials from Lowes and added a third leg from WM.

Thanks. Been away for a bit so just getting back.
I ended up finding the replacement hinges. That is all that broke for me.
I originally considered replacing the whole seat, but have had second thoughts. This seat is put away on our boat 90% of the time so I am leaving well enough alone.
By the way, I found the hinges on ebay for around $15 each.

Anyone know how to change a fixed rear seat that does not stow away to one that does?

This pic is a 1999 270 DA while mine is a 1998 270 DA and have no idea if this was offered as an option in 1998.

im looking for hinges that hold legs also for my 1990 280 sundandancer, i believe its the same set up..mine are plastic and broke. where did you get them..i looked on ebay and could use more specifics ,if u could help ...thanks
