Was wondering do you have to take off the manifold risers or can you sneak the covers Buy

See alot of looks but no answers my title is wrong sorry valve cover gaskets. Do I have to remove the risers or can I get covers off without removing the risers

I assume these are Mercruiser and not Crusader. My last boat had Mercruiser 350's and I had to remove the manifolds to remove the valve cover gaskets. I think the Crusaders can be removed with removing the manifolds.

I can only speak to the BBC Mercruisers but it's virtually impossible to remove the outermost valve cover bolts without first removing the exhaust.

Well I did them over the weekend without removing risers or manifolds. You have to take electrical harness off and oil filter with bracket. Remove water drain plug one goes 1 way 1 comes out other way but easy enough to do
