What effect did the extra trim have on your speed,

When we tested the effects of the added weight, it allowed us to plane at lower speeds and gave us a better feel overall, especially in any light chop. I can't recall the exact performance gain as compared to using trim tabs, but it was significant. I feel that if I can cruise with very little trim compared to without the weight and carrying almost full trim that we are more efficient without the added drag

I think you are going to find that you are under proped with the 16 X 16, you should have some additional torque to take advantage of.

I have a busy week's boating ahead of me this week, trying out these ideas is just the excuse I needed

My plan is to record two runs with current setup, then load front of boat with 300 Lbs and re record data for comparison this should indicate what effect (possitive or negative) trim is having on speed.

I will post results for discussion as soon as I have them.
