Hi guys. Relatively new owner of a 01 380 Sundancer. Here’s the situation:

A week ago after it was dewinterized I was going to take it out. Went to fire it up and hit the port side ignition switch at the helm and got nothing but a single click after the beep and some noise that I assume was the fuel injection. Flipped the starboard switch down and it fired right up. The marina captain who also brokered my boat deal came down and after a little bit he got the port side to fire and said it was most likely the switch. So i replaced the switch with a brand new switch and still the same thing.

Went down today to check on things since a marine mechanic is taking their sweet time to get to it. Port side is still doing the same thing. This time the starboard side started doing the same thing. Switch worked occasionally and then when it did work it would fire up. I’ve replaced that switch and now nothing.

Any ideas on what could be the problem?

I would start at the batteries and make sure the terminals are all clean and tight as well as any connections related to that system.

Load test each battery separately.
