4.3 TKS Engine Cleaning

I have a 2008 sea ray 185.... i've never cleaned down the engine was thinking about using something like the following:

Anyone tried anything like this before??? Any tips??


Id cover the electrical components e.g. alternator .... belts etc.... after cleaning down id run it up to temperature to dry it out.... am i crazy? How do others do it?

I use Zep purple industrial cleaner to clean my engines and bilge. It works great and keeps the engine cleane. Cover the electrical components and don't spray hard at those areas and you should be fine. It is good to keep a clean engine so when you have a leak you can trace it right away.

I use wd-40 to clean my engine. Works great. Just spray an wipe of.

vinyl protectant works well on rubber hoses and other vinyl/plastic items to clean them and restore the black color....
