I have twin 2001 merc 4.3 EFI. Last night under heavy throttle getting on a plane my starboard engine just quit no alarms just dead. I tried several times to restart with no luck so I limped home on the port engine. Today I did some trouble shooting and found that I blew a 15 amp fuse and a 10 amp fuse In the bundle of 3 near the relays up top. Replaced them and it fires up and idles just fine. I still need to go test under load and have spare fuses now but what would be potential connected issues? It’s been running fine all season this particular engine was recently repowered and has 200 hours. 130 when I bought it. I can’t imagine the fuel pump is bad already. I’m not looking forward to replacing it if that’s the issue. It’s in their tight.
